Offering hope, health and support for children & young adults healing from PANS & PANDAS
About us
The JBC PANS & PANDAS Foundation was started in memory of John B. Cunningham to honor all those families suffering from PANS & PANDAS. Our mission is to offer hope, health, and support for children & young adults healing from PANS & PANDAS. We will do this by providing grants to allow eligible children and young adults with PANS/PANDAS to receive proper treatment as well as raising awareness about PANS/PANDAS. PANS & PANDAS occur when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy brain cells, leading to inflammation of the brain. Although the mechanisms are the same, PANS & PANDAS are defined by different triggers. Learn more here:https://www.jbcfund.org/about-pans-pandas

May is mental health & Lyme awareness month. We cannot talk about mental health without talking about the FACT that infections and inflammation can trigger mental health symptoms. This is PANS/PANDAS. When diagnosed and treated PROPERLY, children and young adults battling PANS/PANDAS heal and mental health symptoms resolve. Please learn, share and spread the word. Early diagnosis and treatment are the key to the cure.
